Master Braz Dos Santos

Lambada

The Pasion Studio faculty is headed by highly acclaimed dancer, performer and dance instructor Master Braz Dos Santos, who is the most celebrated dancer in the world in his field of Brazilian dance. For more than 20 years he has been teaching and performing all over the world. He was the star of a major international dance show ‘Brazouka’ that traced his incredible life story through Brazilian dance. Since he arrived in Key West several years ago, students have been traveling to Key West from all parts of the USA - and internationally - to attend his 50-Hour Certification Courses for all levels including Instructors. Now he will be extending his expert professorial arm to teach local students as well.

Romina Hidalgo

Lambada

Romina Hidalgo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She began dancing Lambada at 8 years of age and her dance grew thanks to the influences of Braz dos Santos and other world-famous teachers. At 16 she began to co-teach Lambada, becoming a full teacher at 18. She became the dance partner of Braz dos Santos. From 2006 onwards, they gave classes and workshops in different cities of the world and participated in countless festivals and congresses in Lambada. They had a glittering appearance at the "Suzanna Lubrano" and "Nelson Freitas" concert and also participated in the filming of a video clip with the renowned singer "Gil Semedo". In 2014 Romina participated in the show "Brazouka", with which she toured the world with Braz dos Santos as a dance couple. Today they continue working together, spreading dance and training students. Romina is a "Rainha de la Lambada" (‘Queen of Lambada’) but she also excels in many other dance styles, as demonstrated in her outstanding contribution to ‘Bum Farto The Musical.’

La Mexx

Bellydancing

La Mexx is a dancer, choreographer, singer and songwriter. As a dance teacher, she specializes in Bellydance and Reggaeton. She has trained with the best Bellydancers in Europe, and performed with a professional bellydance company in France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

She trained with star reggaeton dancers in the Dominican Republic and has since been teaching different styles and flows of reggaeton such as dembow and afro.

Catu Cardozo

Latin/Brazilian Grooves

Catalina Cardozo is a dancer and teacher of Latin, Brazilian and Urban dances in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her sensual and elegant moves are displayed in dance and entertainment shows, both at national and international events and congresses, along with her partner, Carlinhos Da Silva.

Catalina trained in Ballet and Contemporary Jazz with Laura Roatta and took courses in Modern Jazz at Noemí Coelho Dance Studio in BsAs. She studied Ballroom Dances (samba de gafieira, lambada, zouk, bolero) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with renowned teachers Jaime Arôxa and Jimmy de Oliveira, among others. Currently she continues her training in Argentine Tango.

Catalina has been participating in national and international ballroom dance congresses since 2011, both teaching and performing, in venues such as Porto Seguro, Barcelona, New York and Buenos Aires.
